BENEDICT J. POLLIO, after several years in Accounting, was originally associated with a large international law firm, Coudert Brothers, where he dealt in international corporate, finance, taxation, estate and litigation matters.  He founded the Pollio Law Group LLP and its predecessor, Redmond Pollio & Caso LLP, and has concentrated in Corporate, Taxation, Estates & Trusts Administration, Estate, Gift, Corporate & Business Succession Tax Planning, Banking, Securities Law and Real Estate matters, as well as supervising the Firm's Litigation practice.

In his Taxation and Estates & Trust, Business Tax Planning practice, he does a great deal of Estate and Gift Tax Planning, Wills, Trusts business, business succession, employment benefits, qualified plans, and the accompanying strategies and documents for a myriad of clients, including many high net worth.  He has been Counsel to several Bank Trust Departments, an investment committee of an international oil company and a national religious denomination, advising on these matters and reviewing a substantial number of Wills, Trusts, Qualified Plans and investment issues.  He has drafted a considerable variety of sophisticated tax planning documents and often coordinates the Firm’s drafting.  As a New York and Florida attorney, he also handles residence-domicile transitions, strategies and State Audit issues. He has lectured extensively on planning, tax, business succession, business and estate issues. With his accounting/tax background, he has handled numerous and substantial Estate and Gift Tax and other Audits with extraordinary results (and many consequent referrals by other professionals).  

Mr. Pollio's considerable Corporate and Banking expertise includes domestic and international representation of many clients in a broad spectrum of commercial loans, bonds and project financings, all phases of complex acquisitions, corporate, securities law, executive compensation, benefits & qualified plans and taxation transactions.  He has frequently lectured on a range of financial corporate, acquisition, tax and related topics.  He has represented, as General Counsel, a wide range of corporate clients (large and small), including a United Kingdom integrated oil company, a National Gas company, several steel companies, commercial banks, a religious denomination, Hospitals and manufacturing, computer, construction, professional, proxy soliciting and brokerage companies.  His high net worth clients and estates complete the corporate side.

He also has had substantial exposure in a wide range of Real Estate matters as part of his Corporate, Banking, Business/Tax Practice (viz., refineries, production facilities, terminals, storage, & factories).  Further, his years of Litigation experience have involved all these areas, i.e., corporate, securities, banking, workouts, valuations, acquisitions, defamation, anti-trust, trade practices, labor, employee benefits, insurance, (personal injury, property, bonds, products and malpractice) construction and will contests, constructions and accountings.

Because of his background as Corporate Counsel and his integrated fields of concentration, he receives many referrals from major accounting and law firms, bankers, investment advisors and other professionals for corporate clients, for a wide array of sophisticated wills, estate and business planning, benefit plans, corporate, litigation and tax assignments.
